Feeling the HackaTRON Love: TRON, Huobi, and DoraHacks

You may have heard by now that Season 4 of the TRON Grand Hackathon kicked off February 1st. TRON’s Grand Hackathon exists to empower developer teams leveraging blockchain technology to build decentralized applications and solutions on the TRON blockchain and BitTorrent Chain.

Many of the partners and judges from Season 3 are returning this season, including industry leaders from VanEck, Valkyrie, Circle, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Mirana, Binance Custody, Kucoin Ventures, Huobi Ventures, FalconX, Wintermute, Blockchain.com, Gate.io, Bittrex Global, Kyber Network, Poloniex, Gala Games, Unstoppable Domains, and others.

According to TRON DAO Developer Lead, Ejaz Merchant, “The first hackathon of 2023 is off to a good start. We’re still working with DoraHacks to optimize marketing and collaboration, but we’re really excited about the partnership. Our goal is to utilize the feedback we’ve received thus far to optimize our prizing system and return to milestone payments. This will increase the incentive to produce a full project on TRON for the benefit of our community.”

So what makes the HackaTRON possible besides the aspiring projects it attracts?

SPONSORSHIP

We are truly grateful to our HackaTRON co-sponsors, Huobi and DoraHacks, for making this season possible.

Huobi is one of the leading global cryptocurrency exchanges. As co-sponsors of the HackaTRON, Huobi is helping us offer a total of 500,000 USDD in prizes. We’ll also be teaming up to provide winners with access to apply for funding from TRON DAO Ventures and Huobi Ventures. H.E. Justin Sun, founder of TRON and Ambassador of Grenada to the WTO, serves on Huobi’s global advisory board.

Founded in 2014, DoraHacks is a Web3 development community engaging with a variety of blockchains to encourage innovators to “BUIDL” with blockchain tech. They’re a hacker organization that offers grants, bounties, and hackathons, and they are teaming with us this hackathon season to provide our developer forum. “We chose to work with DoraHacks because we believe having a partner focused on Web3 hackathons, who thoroughly understands the benefits and challenges of hosting them, is vital,” says Ejaz Merchant.

As you can see, there’s a lot of love flowing between TRON, Huobi, and DoraHacks. Check out The Basics of the HackaTRON or  What is a HackaTRON and What Are the Tracks for more info.
